About Clonganny House

A Georgian gem in the heart of Co. Wexford — hosted by Kevin & Karina Humphrey

Clonganny House is one of Ireland’s finest examples of late Georgian architecture. Built in 1823 for Hawtrey White and set in eight acres of gently rolling lawns, serene woodland and a beautiful walled garden. Our nearest village is  in Ballygarrett, Co. Wexford.

We are Kevin and Karina Humphrey, and we have the great privilege of calling Clonganny home. We opened our doors to guests with a simple ambition — to offer the kind of warmth, care and attention to detail that makes a stay feel genuinely special. Not a hotel stay. Something more personal than that.

THe main house is exclusively for adults, whilst the Gale Lodge also caters for families. It is a place for couples and friends to slow down, breathe out and enjoy the finer things. Extraordinary food, elegant rooms, beautiful surroundings and the kind of quiet that is increasingly hard to find.

The house retains many of its original Georgian features — high ceilings, tall windows, original stonework — whilst offering every modern comfort. Our four courtyard suites are individually styled, each with its own character and its own private patio opening onto the walled garden.

We are proud members of Hidden Ireland and Failte Ireland. We cook everything ourselves, using the finest and freshest produce, much of it sourced locally from the farms and waters of Co. Wexford — Ireland’s Sunshine County.

Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, simply escaping the everyday or looking for a romantic retreat in the Irish countryside, we would love to welcome you to Clonganny.
