Clonganny House is a luxury country house in Wexford, Ireland — a fine Georgian residence originally erected for Hawtrey White (1758–1837) and sympathetically restored in the late twentieth century. Retaining many original features, Clonganny is a fine example of late Georgian architecture. Set in eight acres embracing gently rolling lawns, serene woodland, and a stunning walled garden, Clonganny House is only a short drive to a beautiful, award winning coastline and miles of golden sandy beaches.
Clonganny House offers adult-only weekends, short breaks or longer stays. An idyllic retreat from the hectic pace of modern-day living, be it for a romantic getaway, family reunion, honeymoon, work escape or simply as a well-appointed base for the many activities sunny Wexford has to offer. We spent a wonderful night and day at Clonganny – everything from the welcome when we arrived, to the beautifully appointed room where no comfort was not provided to the superb dinner that we had and an excellent breakfast marked Clonganny as a very special place, a true hidden gem.
There was an exceptionally high standard of safety and hygiene without once feeling intrusive. A wonderful team of staff who couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a special stay. Looking forward to returning as the winter rolls in.

Further inland and with the rivers Slaney and Barrow crossing the county there is a vast range of opportunities available. Golfing, fishing, hiking and horse riding; to name just a few.
Clonganny House is only a very short drive to the Beaches of Ballinoulart, Old Bawn and Fodagh. From there is a delightful clifftop walk that extends to Cahore Point. Please ask us for directions and the best places to park.
Feel free to walk around our grounds. Find a tree to rest and shade under, explore primrose lined tracks, wander in the woodland and see all the wonderful wildlife living with us.
